Description
THE STORY
Chartering a ship to make the long trek from England to Port Adelaide late in 1839, the Colton and Hewett families were the first settlers of what was to become the McLaren Vale. Soon after arriving in Adelaide, they blazed the long and slow trail to the newly surveyed Southern Vales and settled on adjoining plots of land at Oxenberry Farm early in 1840. This unique Cabernet Sauvignon/Barbera is a testament to the trailblazing nature in which William Colton executed way back then, and so, we name this wine in his honour.
